The Perlane Consultation
Before any treatments with Perlane are scheduled, potential patients will have a brief consultation in SilkeySkinMD’s Kaysville office. At this time, we will review past medical history and current medications. After examining the skin and facial anatomy, our aesthetic expert will discuss Perlane, as well as any other appropriate noninvasive treatments. If Perlane is the right procedure for the individual patient, a personalized treatment plan will be created.
Perlane Injections
A treatment session with Perlane will take less than half an hour, from beginning to end. Once the target areas are established, Perlane is injected immediately under the skin with a very small needle. The use of a local or topical anesthetic is optional, although most patients do not consider their injections to be painful.
After a Perlane treatment, patient are able to resume work or school the same afternoon. It is not uncommon for the face show mild bruising, redness, or swelling at the injection site. This will quickly resolve over the first several days.
